The little hole-in-the-wall horror themed pizza place has moved up to a new location. The grand opening is happening this Friday; let's hope it sticks out as another scary themed restaurant in the LA area.

-This Summer the Hollywood Bowl is back with a number of shows from classical to movie concert album. Check out the full list at the link above. It's nice to hear music being played there. And your not a real LA resident until you deal with the horrible parking situation there.

Following the latest public health and reopening guidelines from Los Angeles County, the LA Phil will offer more than 50 performances, including 14 concerts with Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel. From classical music to pop, reggae, jazz and film, the season showcases acclaimed artists and the return of numerous Bowl favorites.

Created in 2014, when the famed contemporary artist was under house arrest, the monumental display portrays activists, prisoners of conscience, and advocates of free speech from around the world. On view at the Skirball are eighty-three of the work’s original 176 portraits, each one hand-assembled from thousands of LEGO® bricks. To Ai, the portraits pay tribute to “heroes of our time,” many of them ordinary citizens who have stood up against injustice in their communities.

-Have to say, the selection is still going strong on drama and not celebrating the more fun films from India that people see clips from on the Internet. Maybe, it's the selection committee or maybe it's who submitting, but nothing has really driven us to go out of our way for it.

The 19th edition of the festival will be held virtually and geo-blocked to California on May 20–27. This year IFFLA features a total of 40 films, including 21 shorts, spanning 17 languages.
