*Heads up, parking will straight up suck at Santa Monica college. The closes place to park is $35 and street parking is bad, because of college zoning rules. We highly recommend a Lyft like service or taking the Metro.

IndieCade is the annual independent game festival showcasing off a number of games you might only get to play for one day. Some will make it on console, while others are group activities that you and friends might only get to try once. We've written about it year after year and are always delighted to see what new games there will be to try.

Don't forget about the Night Games! These usually get weird and wilder then was played earlier in the day and for one night only.-IndieCade's 2019 NIGHT GAMES

Los Angeles Comic Con

Somehow keeping the comic-con name even though we thought San Diego's Comic Con made it legally only there's to use and their other offerings, NY and Wonder, LA Comic Con is back for another year, pending legal action.

As per usual expect to see a wide array of celebrities guests, small and big, special panels from past cartoons and TV shows and a whole lot of cosplay. Highlights from the festival and even World 8 is doing gaming stuff.

Thinkspace is honored to present Tougher Than Leather, our fifth solo exhibition with Brian M. Viveros. This highly anticipated solo show, opening October 12, is the first comprehensive presentation of all new work by the artist in almost four years in the Los Angeles area, and will feature some of Viveros’ largest and most accomplished paintings to date. On view concurrently in the Thinkspace project room is Shine, featuring new works by Los Angeles based artist, and Thinkspace family veteran, Ken Flewellyn. A realist painter fascinated by the intersection of diverse cultures, personal histories, and Hip Hop, Flewellyn creates portraits of women that challenge our assumptions about identity and cultural homogeneity.
