One Less MOCA Also SpaceX Not Coming To San Pedro

In a wonderful two-for of bad news about the art and sciences of LA we have to report on the closing down of MOCA Pacific Design Center and losing the deal for a space ship building yard at San Pedro.

There's little explanation in each story. For, at this time unknown reasons, SpaceX will no longer be creating a spaceship building factory out of San Pedro Port. It of course meant seeing space ships being built in the LA area again, jobs and just some nerd pride. Even though a private company, it meant LA would be heavily tied to a new generation of space travel.

On the sad side of art news, MOCA Pacific Design Center is set to close next month with no real explanation either. MOCA has been at the Pacific Design Center for twenty years.

We suggest checking it out once before it ends its run this February.
