4th of July Guide

Here's a guide to all the events in LA celebrating America's Independence, all occurring this Wednesday, July 4. Even a link to where to see all the fireworks.

Grand Park + The Music Center’s 4th of July Block Party 2018

Grand Park + The Music Center: Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles Fourth of July Block Party returns as the county’s largest free July 4th celebration. Featuring picnicking, games, art-making, music, dancing and a stunning fireworks show high above Downtown L.A., Grand Park + The Music Center’s Fourth of July Block Party is the ultimate summer holiday celebration. The highly popular event offers activities for all ages including soccer, tag, bubble fun and chalk art. Two stages featuring DJs and live musical performances will entertain audiences throughout the celebration. Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m. from the roof of The Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and soar nearly 500 feet, making them visible throughout Downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods. 
The Hollywood Bowl

Make it a Fourth to remember with a patriotic program of star-spangled music and the groundbreaking all-girl hit-makers The Go-Go’s. The 1980s megastars will fill the Bowl with a raucous set of power-pop like “We Got the Beat” and “Our Lips Are Sealed” before our famous fireworks close out the night.

The Santa Monica Fourth of July Parade has grown every year and brings together families, musicians, civic groups and exhibitionists of all stripes. Come in your red, white and blue! The parade will begin at Pico Boulevard on Main Street and will conclude at the southern most beach parking lot.

Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade

The Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade is the biggest Independence Day parade west of the Mississippi and has been held since 1904. The parade is over two miles and two hours long and includes floats, marching bands, civic organizations and celebrity guests. The parade is televised locally each year and, while seating along the parade route is free, tickets can be purchased for premium bleacher seating just past downtown.

“Celebrate Independence Day in your best red, white, and blue aboard the majestic Queen Mary with a full day of live entertainment, delicious food, spectacular drinks from multiple bars, carnival games, and more on Wednesday, July 4 from 2 - 10 p.m. The popular patriotic celebration is a ship-wide event offering family-friendly games, activities, electric foods and drinks, strolling performers, and multiple stages of live entertainment culminating with SoCal’s most spectacular fireworks display above one of America’s “shining seas.”

Celebrate Independence Day with the red, white, and blue fish at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Families will be able to witness the ambiance of the Aquarium at night and get a fish-eye view of the Queen Mary fireworks display. Wave the flag, watch the fireworks, and enjoy some freshly grilled BBQ with the Aquarium of the Pacific. You’ll also be able to journey inside the Aquarium to see wonders of the sea until 10:00 p.m.

With a summer full of events, the Rose Bowl Stadium is looking forward to hosting the 92nd annual AmericaFest on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. This year we will once again showcase a world-renown fireworks show and entertainment to remember, including Maddie Poppe making her first live performing appearance since winning American Idol! Additionally, Michael Knight presents: The Ultimate Tribute to Michael Jackson a stunning performance.You won't want to miss it!

With one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in Southern California, the July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza delights over 60,000 people with a free concert and 15-minute spectacular fireworks display. There are over 20 local restaurants on hand along with arts and crafts vendors and local businesses promoting and selling their goods. The event takes place on July 4th of each year from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Come early!
