Hold On Going To The Cinefamily It's Not Open

If you were planning to see some indie or cult classic this week, forget it. At least if you were planning at seeing it at The Cinefamily. The Cinefamily has shut down all screenings and events until further notice as a third party investigates the place for allegations of sexual misconduct. This all comes after Hadrian Belove, co-founder and executive creative director resigned among those allegations. Also resigned recently is Shadie Elnashai, vice president of The Cinefamily's board of directors.

As someone who just visited The Cinefamily two weeks ago it's shocking to hear all the allegations as the theater and staff and the whole operation seemed to work so well together with no signs of breaking...at least on the outside.

The Cinefamily has been one, if not, the top place to catch special screenings in LA, cult classics and very very weird art house stuff.
