Two Horror Films To Check Out: Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and Freaks of Nature

There's some decent looking Halloween horror comedy in theaters for you to see before the Halloween party you have to get to this Saturday.

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse
Synopsis:

Three scouts and lifelong friends join forces with one badass cocktail waitress to become the world’s most unlikely team of heroes.  When their peaceful town is ravaged by a zombie invasion, they’ll fight for the badge of a lifetime and put their scouting skills to the test to save mankind from the undead.

-They had us when we saw zombie cats and zombie strippers. It has big movie studio money for a dumb horror comedy that might give us some laughs with great special effects.

Freaks of Nature
Synopsis:

In the town of Dillford, Vampires, Humans and Zombies used to get along, but with the arrival of extraterrestrial beings, it's humans vs. vampires vs. zombies in all-out mortal combat. Now three teenagers must try to get things back to "normal."

We're a little afraid about this one, not because of the horror, but the fact it was shot back in 2013, changed names and directors and hasn't had very good marketing. Factor in a limited release and you can smell something being a miss. It's suppose to have and Amblin Entertainment feel, so we'll have to wait and see. If it is a flop, straight to the stream with it.

Both films open Oct 30th
