Riot LA Alternative Comedy Festival Jan 16-18

Three days of comedy to get you excited for 2015. See brand new comics or just the old ones you thought were died from drugs. Here's the full list of whose showing up and a schedule to get you ready for some laughs over a weekend. All at Riot LA; Jan 16-18; Downtown Independent and six other venues.

Hailed by L.A. Weekly as “the future of live comedy,” The Super Serious Show is a Los Angeles based mash-up live comedy show. An immersive experience created by CleftClips, the show exposes audiences to emerging and experimental performers alongside well-known headliners. CleftClips focuses on creating the sense of spontaneity in elevated live comedy events. Each Super Serious Show has a new Special Guest Headliner/Host and features stand-up and sketch comedy, videos, and much more.



Comedy Living Room

Comedy Living Room is a live stand-up comedy show held monthly in the living room of die-hard comedy fans and roommates, Matt Lottman and Frank Chad Muniz. What started out as an open mic amongst friends has quickly become one the most unique comedy experiences in LA, bringing in anywhere from 100-200 audience members each month.

Host Ari Shaffir hosts a night of storytelling, and a celebration of This Is Not Happening’s TV debut – Thursday, January 22 @ 12:30 on Comedy Central. Expect live stories and a sneak peek at the show.  After two successful seasons online, This Is Not Happening is the first show ever to develop with Comedy Central Studios and make the leap to television.
