2014 Indian Film Festival Line-Up Announced

The full 2014 Indian Film Festival line-up is up now on their site, see it here. The festival takes place at the Hollywood Arclight, Apirl 8-13. This year's selection is without so many of the past CGI- wonders to marvel at such at The Fly and The Robot.

The festival has a variety of films to look through without cgi- flies and robots. Amit V. Masurka's Writers looks at the Indian entertainment industry through struggling writers in a guerrilla style shot adventure of two of writers trying to make it in the industry starting by selling out with an artsy porno. Powerless, directed by Fahad Mustafa and Deepti Kakkar is about pirate engineers stealing electricity from India's power grid, a common problem now facing the nation with limited energy resources. Sold, the opening film by director Jeffrey D. Brown is a struggle to survive for a young girl being forced into a life of prostitution.
