Weekly What To Do: Film Fests, Chips and Robots

LA EigaFest

Dec 14-16

Though Rurouni Kenshin is sold out, there's plenty more to see. Special Japanese films you might not be able to see in theaters or online for some time will be played for one night only engagements. Sunday has you trying out animes about food, they will be crazy. There will be a ramen booth Saturday and Sunday. I still what happened with the Chinese Theaters being dumped by so many film festivals this year, it did switch management so who knows.

Dorkbot SoCal 50

Wow, it's been months since the last Dorkbot gathering. Weird science is explored and this time it might involve holograms. A guy who invented a iPhone ghost detector too. I hate ghost hunters, so be sure to be angry with him if you go.

 Chips, Crisps & Wafers A Potato Chip Pop-Up @ IAM8BIT Dec 14

You can get chips from around the world as a great holiday snack or you could just all the chips yourself. I'd share them though, it's kind of messed up if you don't share them.

iam8bit presents a pop-up shop like no other, featuring potato chips imported from around the world.

We've carefully curated a DIVERSE FLAVOR EXPLOSION, including offerings from:

Japan
England
Scotland
Australia
Canada
Singapore
India
...and unique regional tastes from around the United States.

Over 50 flavors in all!

And better yet, the exhibit is ENTIRELY EDIBLE!

"Someone, or something, has been bumping off museum staffers involved in acquiring an ancient Aztec relic. Is it the dreaded Curse of Itlkilyu? Or is a serial killer on the loose? Your team of sleuths will have to crack a hieroglyphic code and uncover the museum's secrets to stop the killings. Highlights include Megamouth the shark, a life-size African watering hole, an insect zoo, Zuni fetishes and historic bling."
