Madoka Magica The Movie LA Screenings October

Well, if you like dark takes on Sailor Moon you'll have something to do in October in LA. Madoka Magica is an anime about young girls given magical powers when they form a contract with a cute bunny like creature. The style, design and architecture is shockingly stunning. Monster/ witch designs are very different from a normal anime and the dark nature of the story slowly pours in like drinking some bittersweet tea. Oh, I think Tea Expo is that weekend I'll double check!
Update: No, it's next weekend it misses the screening by a day

LA's going to be getting some exclusive stuff for Madoka Magica's run, just you read below in the press releases. It's going to be playing a block outside of Little Tokyo, so it might be a great day for an anime fan. I wonder if Anime Jungle will do anything?

"Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 1: Beginnings and Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal will be a double feature shown in theaters starting on October 19th.   The cost of one ticket with give movie-goers the opportunity to watch both movies.  "

"Los Angeles ticket holders will receive select giveaways on opening night and throughout the scheduled screening times while supplies last. In addition, there will also be exclusive Madoka Magica the Movie Merchandise sold only at the Los Angeles Theater while supplies last."

Here's the info page, but the LA link isn't working yet, as of 9/13. So give it a day or two, before getting your tickets. I'll be sure to remind you about the event
