Vampire Con and the rest of August

Find Your Inner Vampire "Movie Night" from Vampire-Con starts Aug. 14, 2009 on Vimeo.

Cartoon week is dead. Long live cartoon week. I missed the Halo anime coming out, but I didn't really care in the first place. Anyway there's simply a lot of activities hitting LA this August. As mentioned above Vampire Con the first ever Vampire Convention is hitting LA the 14th - 16th. Staring with a Vampire Film Festival at New Beverly Cinema Friday and Saturday. So get sucked into watching some bloody good movies. Sunday has some panel discussions on all things blood sucker. This is all leading up to the Vampire's Ball. I think it would be fun to go just to see some people dressed as a vampires.

I'll try posting more info leading up to the event.

If your going for this event be sure to stay at Fangs. Yes, some motel on Burbank is called Fangs. Why? I don't know. Is it Vampire themed I'll have to find out. I'll try to get a pic soon.

Anyway next up we have the Korean BBQ festival August 8th. I can't wait for this. Sounds delicious. A bunch of different Korean BBQ for you in one spot. Plus, they'll have some sort of contest to find the best their with somewhat celebrity judges

Next we have the Sunset Junction Street Festival the 22nd and 23rd. Games, music, rides, weird people dressed strangely. The music is the main part of the festival with a huge list of bands playing. I heard this can get quite busy so buy your tickets now.

Ghettogloss reopens the 16th with some event probably. This store filled with esty like made apparel and cool items always pleased. I hope it's new reincarnation can deliver, why I like the place in the past.

Nisei Week starts the 15th in Little Tokyo. It starts out with a wonderful looking parade. The week seems filled with activities. The 15th and 16th seem the busiest. The sumo fight seems like a great event to watch and trying out some Japanese festival games you see in animes will be a joyful memory to have . Don't forget the Karaoke contest.
