Free Scares In Hollywood The IT Experience: Neibolt House Visit

On Hollywood there sits a house that looks unkempt and dilapidated. In front of it strange people wearing yellow raincoats, some holding a red balloon moving about back and forth. It came about for the horror film "IT," which will soon be back in theaters this September. Just a month off from the theme parks starting their Halloween haunts we have one in the middle of Hollywood. We would have rather liked a "You'll float too," Pool Party at The Standard or at any of the many LA hotels with a pool on the roof instead; missed opportunity.

The IT Experience: Neibolt House
August 14 – September 10 1PM – 11PM Daily
Hollywood Blvd and Vine St. Los Angeles, CA 90028

*Now reservations are sold out online, but you can do walk-up, but when I went, it looked to be a 45 minute wait, so heads up when planning to go.

So let's go through the overall experience, without spoilers it's at best 10 minutes long. Remember to sign the liability waiver online or you'll have to do it there and bring any form of ID to prove your age. If you don't bring an ID that can prove your old enough, you don't go in. You'll be put into a group of 9 and then enter the Neibolt House. You'll then explore two floors of scenes you've seen from the trailer. They've got some jump scares here and there. It's a normal haunted house experience, though you are led by someone in a yellow rain-jacket. It's all for free, so you can't really complain.

We can't go into much further details without ruining the experience, but I'll commend the makers of the haunted house from making it spooky enough on the inside. You do feel like you're going through an old house that has seen a living soul for some time.

I would love "IT" if they gave out some free swag like mini-posters when your done with the experince.
