Game of Thrones in Hollywood

Though part of the street was taken over by sci-fi with a new Star Wars film another group of fans were treated to a special treat. A treat of violence, VR and photo opportunities. All for a behind-the-scenes look with the release of Game of Thrones: Season 6 coming out on DVD and Blu-ray.

Fans got to enjoy holding the door, setting fire to enemies, getting trapped in a pile of bodies and horses and even sitting on the iron throne. You were give a special badge that tagged all your info and sent specially created photos from the event to your e-mail.

While fans waited for their photos they got to look at props and info about their beloved show. The Battle of the Bastards took 25 days to shoot and that was with 10 hour days; that was one of the tidbits we learned while strolling through the free exhibit for fans. We learned that Temple of the Dosh Khaleen really did burn to the ground, that wasn't just special effects they just burned it. Then, there's the breakdown of having dragons in the show and how much we take CGI for granted.

Fans were flocking to Hollywood and Highland for two days( Fri-Sat) to get their pictures taken, try VR Battle Training in Castle Black and some even dressed up like their favorite characters to make the experience even more immersive.
