TCL Chinese 6 Theatres
Free, Must RSVP

One Piece Kabuki is the telling of the One Piece manga/anime mythos in the ancient Japanese play art of Kabuki. This is a modern adaption using one of Japan's oldest art forms. Specifiallt it's the story of Luffy, the main hero, trying to save his brother from the World Goverment with the help of the Whitebeard Pirates.

We at TTDILA learned of the show when it was taking place in Japan in live shows. Now, thanks to the Japan Foundation we'll have a chance to see the show for ourselves. From what we've seen the show will be an amazing piece to stare at on the big screen.

Adding to the celebration will be a cosplay contest:

Please come wearing your favorite One Piece cosplay! Outside the theatre there will be a COSPLAY CORNER with Luffy, Zoro, Trafalgar Law, Chopper, Ace and marine cosplay pieces that you can try on. Take a selfie in front of our special Japan Foundation backdrop, upload it to twitter with the hashtag #onepiecekabuki, and the most popular photo will win ALL of our cosplay pieces! There will also be professional One Piece cosplayers with whom you can take photos!!

*Japan Foundation warns parking will be scarce the day of the showings as the annual Holiday parade will be taking place in Hollywood that evening
