Night of Noir May 3

 (Sponsored post)

There's a new night to get excited about, a Night of Noir. Captured Aural Phantasy Theater presents the Night of Noir. This time Captured Aural Phantasy Theater has you embroiled in hard crime comics from the 40's and 50's, and brother they ain't kind. These are brutal tales acted out for your enjoyment, a real nice way to end Free Comic Book Day weekend.

"Witness tales from the brutal pages of vintage crime comic books – exposed! – uncensored and LIVE! Captured Aural Phantasy Theater presents the NIGHT OF NOIR show at the historic El Cid for 1 night only Sunday, May 3! In our live retro variety show, Captured Aural Phantasy Theater blows a kiss to our hometown, Los Angeles, by blending hard-boiled culture and the absurd in an evening of performances inspired by noir movies, pulp fiction and the fierce crime comic books of the 40’s. The show features our unique multi-media, old radio show-style performances of vintage comics plus projected art, live jazz/cabaret music, and other thrilling acts.

"Need to continue the Noir Fest film festival in April? The NIGHT OF NOIR is your ticket. We will be showcasing live performances of stories pulled from classic, mid-century crime comic books presented in our signature variety show/ old radio show style. These aren’t heart-warming tales – these are the bloody comic book crime stories that were burned in the 40’s and banned in the 50’s for being too hard-boiled, too violent and too much!

Plus, we have recently been given permission to premier a comic story by legendary 1950’s comic book publisher EC for this show! They were the gold standard of comics in the Golden Age. Do not miss it!"
