Music videos from around the world are showcased.

SpectreFest 2014: The Creeping Garden

AFI Fest 2014

Nov 6-13
Hollywood theater locations
Free, Passes $$$

Free movies throughout the week and weekend around Hollywood. If you're out of work or just cheap, this week is for you to check out films. 8 days of movies from sci-fi to gushing dramas.

Zed Fest Film Festival

Nov 7-9
Theatre Banshee
3435 W. Magnolia Blvd.

A little film festival that just misses Halloween, but is creepy enough to keep it going with horror shorts and awards for best screenplays given out.

Fan Festivals

Pacific Media Expo 2014
Nov 7-9
Hilton Los Angeles Airport
Starts at $30

Pacific Media Expo continues to be a fan-oriented Asian culture event. This isn't a major outing like Comikaze Expo with some big names and big reunions. And it's nowhere near Wonder-Con or Comic-Con. It's like a big clubhouse meeting with fans of anime. Perfect for the cosplayer showing off their new stuff or meeting like-minded fans of anime and Japanese culture. TTDILA hasn't headed over in a few years as management of events is a little drawn out; there wasn't always something to do.

Nov 7-9
Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel & Convention Center
2500 Hollywood Way
Starts at $30

Two days to get into the LGBT side of nerdiness. This also has a pajama party...Andrew, how many of these events this weekend have pajama parties?

The panel on HIV prevention sounds like a lot of ... a weird thing to have, they're still nerds. LA Condom will sponsor two of Bent-Con’s live-drawing events: Sketch and Photo with the Models from LA Condom and The BIG ONE Photo Shoot.

DesignerCon 2014

November 8-9, 2014
Pasadena Convention Center – Exhibit Hall
300 East Green Street
Pasadena, CA 91101
Only $5 per day!
* $7 per day at the door

Bringing back all those little toys on your desks and art to hang up at the office, making everyone shameful they aren't as cool as you is DesignerCon.
They have a slumber party this time!
