Plastic Bag Ban Starts Wednesday

Fellow LAins we face the ban on plastic bags this week. No longer may we simply get bags for our items we buy in stores. Starting Wednesday we ring in the New Year by not being allowed to purchase anything without remembering to bring a bag or basket.

Baskets will now return to the market as a convenience.

Go out and get a canvas bag that's easily washable.

Smaller stores don't have to get into the act until July and you'll be able to buy paper bags at supermarkets for ten cents if you don't have a bag yet.
