IndieCade 2013: What To Try and Do and Possibly Avoid

Here are some the top games you should be checking out at IndieCade 2013.

IndieCade 2013
Oct 3-6
Downtown Culver City

Going through these, it reminds me of how great IndieCade is. You may have never even heard of these titles and with so many of the same games out a million times over (shooters) it's great to see these.

The synopsis below come form the IndieCade preview page, check out more titles on it

The top 3 are my top favs.

SUPER TIME FORCE
by Capybara Games
Super TIME Force is a high-octane pixel-art thrill-ride with the steering wheel of time in your hands!

TowerFall
by Matt Makes Games
An archery combat platformer for up to 4 players. It's a local party game centering around hilarious, intense versus matches. The core mechanics are simple and accessible, but combat is fast and fierce. TowerFall is best played competitively with friends, crossed-legged on the floor within punching distance of each other.

Rogue Legacy
by Cellar Door Games
Rogue Legacy is a 2D platforming genealogical rogue-""LITE"" where anyone can be a hero. Each time you die, your child will succeed you. Every child is unique. One child might be colorblind, another might have tourettes-- they could even be a dwarf.

Before going on, I wanted to mention the screening of The Institute, which will be on Friday, Oct 4 starting at 5:30pm. The Institute is a documentary film following some sort of a cult like event in San Fran unfold or was it all just a game?

Kentucky Route Zero

Sokobond
by Alan Hazelden & Harry Lee

Sokobond is an elegantly designed puzzle game about chemistry. It's logical, minimalist, and crafted with love and science.
