Looks like AMC isn't coming ahead of Arclight and it's ill-designed new membership happening in October. Oddly, enough it somewhat connects with Gold and Silver, like Arclight's new Gold and Silver circles. The LA Times reported back in June on how AMC is now adding surcharges for certain theaters on Silver and Gold tickets. These tickets are commonly bought in pairs at Coscto at a major discount. Silver tickets are stuck with a wait two weeks policy, while Gold tickets get you in whenever. AMC has since July 8 been "location charging" patrons on these tickets.
"Beginning July 8, AMC will apply the $2 surcharge for any Gold or Silver
ticket used after 4 p.m. at the AMC Burbank 16, AMC Burbank Town Center
6, AMC Burbank Town Center 8, AMC Century City 15 and AMC Santa Anita

Bad show AMC, show your the better theater. People have been getting these tickets for years and it's not an easy process. You have two wait in a second line at Costco to pick up your tickets, a transaction that shouldn't take that long.
