Goodbye Gibson, Hello Harry Potter

The Gibson Amphitheatre known for the annual KROQ Christmas is going away so Universal can develop the area for Harry Potter. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter should break ground in September, but won't be done for a while. This news is added to the new Despicable Me Minion's ride set to open in 2014 only a few weeks back.  It will be missed by many locals after a lifetime of memories at the venue.

The park also unveiled plans for the next 25 years and money being spent into the billions which included revising the studios and tech, so not just the park, but the real film studios are getting a facelift too.

Many in the entertainment industry were wondering what was going to be done with so little money spent on film's in LA with major studios not being as hands on production in recent years. Now we see a major facelift just like the planned one for Paramount.
