MTV snatched Catfish well within it's time frame of being remembered by having a show come out about it yesterday. Sort of like Fox getting a Napoleon Dynamite cartoon years after the movie came out. Catfish seems like a horror movie about finding love on the internet, but reality can be much darker. Poorer too as some lawsuits make the film worthless.
"As of August 2011, the film has been hit with two lawsuits and, according to Catfish distributor Relativity Media, the film has an unrecouped balance of more than $8.5 million and will not likely ever become profitable. Both of these lawsuits have to do with songs used within the movie not being attributed to their creators."
