ALIEN 5-Film Marathon Dec 8

Right after a run at the Cinefamily all the Alien movies are to be seen again in the new order, well technically you could put Blade Runner in there as Ridley Scott intended it to be part of that universe. There isn't AVP either, but seriously who liked that series?

So the first night of Hannukkah has xenomorphs in it.

PROMETHEUS, 2012, 20th Century Fox, 124 min. Dir. Ridley Scott. A team of space explorers, brilliantly portrayed by Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, and Idris Elba, discover horrors as they embark on a journey to a distant moon containing a puzzling structure that may offer clues to the mysteries of human origin.
ALIEN, 1979, 20th Century Fox, 117 min. From its cool, sinister textures to its stomach-churning special effects, director Ridley Scott’s ALIEN reinvented the monster-from-space movie as something mesmerizing, inescapable and strangely beautiful. It also introduced the American action heroine, in Sigourney Weaver’s tough-as-nails Ripley, and the H.R. Giger-designed Alien.
ALIENS, 1986, 20th Century Fox, 137 min. Seven years after Ridley Scott’s original ALIEN, James Cameron directed this sinister, explosive WWII-movie-in-space, about a platoon of U.S. Marines stranded on planet LV-426.
20th Anniversary!
ALIEN 3, 1992, 20th Century Fox, 114 min. Dir. David Fincher. Trapped in an all-male penal asylum, Ripley faces her most intimate, high-stakes encounter yet with the infamous acid-oozing fiends as she leads a fight against a terrifying outbreak of the alien species.
ALIEN RESURRECTION, 1997, 20th Century Fox, 109 min. Dir. Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Against all odds, Ellen Ripley lives. Brilliantly brought (back) to life in Joss Whedon’s clever and haunting screenplay, Ripley once again battles one of American cinema’s great monsters, discovering in the process she herself has undergone a shocking, acidic change.

There will be a 30-minute intermission between ALIEN and ALIENS.
