Movie Hype: Battleship I Hate Thee

I think of all the time spent on the CGI, possibly multiple studios with many individuals working on buildings being destroyed. A man diligently working on his computer thinking he could make something better. Possibly make touching art or a fun video game or animate something that mattered, but he's making an alien for Battleship.

I think of the actors who knew going in, it's just another paycheck or it'll be fun to be in action movie that no one really cares about. I'm getting paid to do what I love, I know this is just a stupid dump truck of dog waste, but man I'm going to get to shoot guns and be on ship and fight aliens.

I also think the director and studio a bit cowardly to not make the film against another super power like Russia or China.  I'm sure they'd give response about international sales.

Before I knew it was about aliens I thought it be possible to watch, but after seeing that first trailer with the Micheal Bay attitude and one of the characters spouting " My Grandfather knew one day there'd be an enemy better than us".  I haven't seen it. I don't want to see it. It holds less weight than a Japanese merchandise toy anime.

I just think what other movies could've been made with that money and resources, what a waste. Now go make a ride out of Universal.
